Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our established and dedicated Estates Team. In this role you will contribute to ensuring that DHCFT delivers a high-quality service which meets the needs of all our patients and families in line with the DHCFT strategy. The Estates Department is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Mechanical Craftsperson to assist with mechanical PPM, minor works, and day to day reactive maintenance. The mechanical programme is critical to achieving a suitable patient environment for all Wards and Departments to deliver the highest level of care., o Responsible for the operational delivery of a mandatory and statutory compliant Estates service in the areas listed below. This list is not exhaustive. Planned Preventative Maintenance Reactive Maintenance Multiskilled basic electrical/plumbing tasks- TMV Servicing, WC repairs, Lighting Repairs, Etc Grounds and Gardens Tasks Painting & Decorating Tasks Drainage/blockages Health and Safety Regulations including: Infection Control measures Operation of technical machinery COSHH Manual Handling Work with tools and equipment, on a wide range of materials. Available for out of hours on-call duties o Work closely with the Estates Officers in formulating an integrated annual plan that meets the business objectives and is consistent with the Trust's objectives. o Responsible for carrying out works to drawings/specifications and are delivered in line with detailed timescales, project plans and are in accordance with purchase orders.
