MARS Recruitment have partnered a market leading manufacturer of high tech instrumentation to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer. Our client has steadily grown over the last 20 years but are going through a period of exciting change which you could be part of. Having recently launched a new cutting-edge product which is getting rave reviews and orders from customers, they have just moved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing site with amazing offices.
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be joining a small R&D team to take accountability and responsibility for producing 3D designs, 2D drawings and all associated calculations, validation and verification activities in the development of new products along with improvements to their existing product range. This Mechanical Design Engineer role will give someone the opportunity to develop their experience across both new and existing products working on some incredibly complex mechanical components and systems. Not only will you be supported by a strong team of Engineers, you will also get a training and development plan which aligns to your personal growth and the company goals.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be degree educated in a relevant Engineering Discipline; ideally Mechanical, Mechatronic or Industrial however others will be considered along with time served relevant industry experience. You will also have a combination of the following:
+ Applications submitted with apprenticeship and HND qualifications will be considered if demonstrable work experience, relevant to the role can be proven.
+ At least 2-3 years experience within a Mechanical Design role is preferred
+ A background in scientific instrumentation would be highly desirable.
+ Software: SolidWorks 2019 or above; parts, assemblies and detail drawings.
+ Enterprise PDM; document management and project technical files.
+ Conversant in Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
+ Knowledge and use of SAGE or similar integrated MRP systems.
