We act as the integrator for these technologies; optimising solutions and ensuring that they can be deployed in challenging environments, while our core capabilities focus on experimental rig design and build, testing, robotics and remote operations. As a Designer, you will contribute to delivering safe, functional, and innovative design solutions for complex engineering challenges. Your work will support the successful execution of major projects in regulated industries. As part of the Design Team, you will work on design deliverables that ensure the safety, functionality, and compliance of various engineering projects. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other design professionals to produce technical drawings and specifications that meet project goals. You will also be responsible for:

  • Translating concepts into visual models (e.g., 2D/3D drawings).
  • Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Participating in design reviews and contributing to the aesthetic and functional aspects of the project.
  • Producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Inventor, Revit, and other software.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Attending occasional site visits to gather information for design development.
  • Liaising with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery., This role provides opportunities to advance to Senior Designer roles, where you will lead teams and oversee larger, more complex projects.

Qualification to HNC/HND standard in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Autodesk products, including AutoCAD, Inventor, and 3D systems.
  • Familiarity with UK regulations, including LOLER and CDM.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Inventor, Revit, and BIM methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of technical design standards.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

People are our greatest asset, and we offer a competitive package to retain and attract the best talent.
  • In addition to the benefits you'd expect, UK employees also receive free single medical cover and digital GP service, family-friendly benefits such as enhanced parental leave pay and free membership of employee assistance and parental programmes, plus reimbursement towards relevant professional development and memberships. We also give back to our communities through our Collectively program which incorporates matched-funding, paid volunteering time and charitable donations. Work-life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for us. We're happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and our business.
