Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineering you are responsible for the Design & Development of mechanical systems, for coding and marking equipment. You will conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. You will work with support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Your experience of quality and reliability, and your knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, will be applied to the product design. This role is located in Huntingdon office, (office and lab-based work) In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Mechanical Engineering theoretical analysis where applicable
• Detail design concepts and/or final product parts using CAD (Solidworks)
• Participate in problem-solving tasks and events
• DFMEA, GD&T, prototype and testing of designs
  
  Education, (Degree or above), in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Several years of experience in the field of Engineering or product development
• Experience in CAD, ideally Solidworks, and other engineering tools
• Engineering technical detailing including GD&T
• Strong engineering skills, (theoretical and practical), for the design & analysis of Mechanical systems
