Full Job Description

Our Defence and Security teams provide design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad. Our team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice, and we are looking for Mechanical/HVAC engineers with transferable skills who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges. We offer hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office. Occasional site visits may be necessary., We are looking to recruit and develop career minded people to bolster our well-established and growing multi-discipline engineering delivery capability to meet opportunities in the nuclear and defence industries. Our projects include developing solutions through all RIBA stages in highly regulated environments, in support of air, land and sea defence establishments, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and both existing and new build nuclear power stations.

  • Relevant industrial design experience looking to work in a technically challenging environment
  • In this role you be part of a several hundred strong team across the UK, however you will work within the smaller Mechanical Engineering team based in Glasgow, Bristol, Or Reading .
  • Occasional expensed business travel to Client sites.

  • Relevant Mechanical Engineering education.
  • Experience in the use of CIBSE guides
  • Experience in the production of design deliverables.
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as CAD, Hevacomp.
  • Can liaise with multiple stakeholders and coordinate with other design disciplines..
