We are on a mission to transform the industry, aligning our strategies with a sustainable future. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Team to join our Engineering Design Team.
As the Mechanical Engineering Lead at AVK you will play a critical role in driving innovation, ensuring product integrity, and delivering successful outcomes in mechanical engineering projects.
Responsibilities fo this role include:
- Project Management: Leading and coordinating mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervising a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design and Development: Conceptualizing, designing, and developing mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software and other tools.
- Analysis and Testing: Conducting analysis, simulations, and testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs.
- Problem Solving: Identifying engineering challenges, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions to optimize mechanical systems and processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of mechanical designs with overall project objectives.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
- Documentation: Creating technical documentation, reports, and specifications detailing design requirements, methodologies, and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in mechanical engineering, and integrating innovative practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
- Client Interaction: Engaging with clients, understanding their requirements, addressing concerns, and fostering strong relationships to facilitate successful project delivery.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and project management.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools for design and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical data, perform calculations, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and other relevant engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
