Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional mechanical services engineer seeking a new challenge to join our Property Services team. As part of a wider team including electrical engineers and building surveyors, the postholder will coordinate and deliver works through our supply chain, ensuring high standards and conformity to specification throughout. Working predominately within the northern area of the county of Warwickshire for a range of customers, the buildings we maintain are include office accommodation, education, fire and rescue, libraries, heritage and culture. This post offers challenge, stimulation and requires a self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and team focused person. The Mechanical Maintenance Surveyor function is key to our continued success and you will understand how your performance can directly contribute to it. Within the Engineering Services team you will be working as part of a professional team of engineers and surveyors responsible for a wide range of reactive works and capital projects for clients both within and external to the Council.
- Appropriate HNC or equivalent.
- A full UK driving licence and use of a car for business purposes.
- Experience in Mechanical Building Services, maintenance and minor works.
- Good communication and customer liaison skills.
- A successful record of monitoring contractor performance.
- The ability to work well within a multi-disciplined team.
- The ability to produce works specifications to obtain quotations on a competitive basis.
- The proven ability to successfully manage your own workloads and deliver works on time and within budgets., The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
