Mechanical Project Manager

The Client and Project Info:

Our client is a leading Mechanical Contractor, currently recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager to join the team. Our clients work across the retail, hospitality, banking, and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will manage both small and large mechanical projects, from Pre Construction to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Mechanical Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to and working with the Project Manager.

  • Managing technical projects from initiation to completion.

  • Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Leading and coordinating the activities of the site teams.

  • Communicating project status to the project team.

  • Identifying and resolving project issues and risks.

  • Developing and implementing strategies for successful project delivery.

  • Ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

  • Managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Attending site surveys and producing detailed Site Audit Reports to aid project scope and costing.

  • Engaging with suppliers and contractors.

  • Managing and expanding the subcontractor base.

  • Demanding high levels of health and safety across all projects.


    • Mechanical Project Manager Requirements:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to successfully work independently.

  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.

  • Strong client facing experience.

  • Bachelor s Degree in Construction Management, or experience in mechanical construction plumbing and/or HVAC.

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management and relevant years of experience.

  • Ability to implement and oversee technologies such as BIM and LEAN principles.

  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Trimble, and MS Office is a plus.

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Project Management experience working in the areas of commercial HVAC and Plumbing.

  • Understanding of Plumbing, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems.
