Full Job Description

As a Mechanical Stress Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will get to work as part of our Engineering and Systems Integration business and get involved with a multitude of complex design challenges. Day-to-day, you'll undertake structural assessment using hand calculations and finite element analysis.

  • Structures surveys and validation exercises
  • Design and assessment for explosive shock survivability
  • Assessment of capability upgrades
  • Technical investigations and feasibility studies
  • Management and assessment of structural defects
  • This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and can be delivered from various locations alongside home working arrangements.

    Experience required of the Mechanical Stress Analyst
  • Good understanding of stress analysis and design
  • Ideally familiar with structural assessment methods, standards and codes
  • Experience with finite element analysis software such as SolidWorks Simulation
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Qualifications for the Mechanical Stress Analyst
  • Degree or equivalent qualified in STEM discipline
  • Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS + Non Police Personnel Vetting 1 (BPNPPV1) security clearance for this role.
