Mechanical Technician

The successful applicant will be required to carry out planned and reactive mechanical works inclusive of repair, maintenance and improvement to the building and hospital facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
The successful applicant may also be required to assist with other building related tasks as well as mechanical and electrical building services in plant rooms and ward areas., Happy to Talk Flexible Working - all requests for flexible and part time working will be considered.

The Estates Department is looking for a Mechanical Technician with a background preferably gained in a maintenance, building services or healthcare environment to join the Maintenance Team., The vacancy will be based at the Basingstoke Hospital site and the successful applicant will require good communication skills to work across the site, however may also be expected to work on any of the Trust sites.
The successful applicant will require good communication skills. An empathetic approach to staff and patients, be adaptable, willing to learn new skills and be able to work independently as well as part of the team. The applicant must have the physical ability and agility to carry out manual handling.
