Full Job Description

The media relations executive will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of NICE's communications and organisational strategy.
Among other things you'll develop and implement media strategies and create content to support dedicated clinical, public health and social care topic areas as well as individual pieces of NICE guidance.
With a key focus on the Press you'll also be responsible for planning and managing communications activities to support the development, launch and ongoing use of NICE guidance, as well as preparing content, including copy, images, blogs, podcasts and video.

Working for our organisation
The media relations team is a small team of 5 responsible for raise awareness of NICE's work and to manage and limit any negative media coverage about controversial guidance or issues.
The team responds to questions from the media, promotes new guidance about to be published and guidance that is already available, organises press conferences, arranges interviews for our spokespeople and briefs them accordingly, issues social media posts promoting NICE's work and issues comments on relevant stories.
