Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Medical Education Administrator to join our friendly team in the Academy on a full time permanent basis. The role will sit within the Post Graduate department and will support the administration team in ensuring Resident Doctor Postgraduate Medical Education is administered within the guidelines of the various curriculums and Health Education England's guidelines as set out by the Local Education Training Boards (LETB), NHS England -South West (NHSE-SW)., This is an administrative role within Postgraduate Medical Education with specific responsibilities to work
with the Guardian of Safe Working, Doctors in training and Trust Doctors Study Leave administration as
well as contributing to the wider roles within the department.
The role will sit within the Postgraduate administrative team and will support the Medical Education
Manager, Deputy Medical Education Manager and Senior Medical Education Administrator in ensuring
Junior Doctor Postgraduate Medical Education is administered within the guidelines of the various
Curriculums and Health Education England's guidelines as set out by the Local Education Training Boards
(LETB), Health Education England-South West (HEE-SW).

+ To accurately process all Senior and Consultant study leave claims, carefully investigating complicated claims.
+ To process all educational funding applications (QUIDS) applications.
+ To promote and oversee the yearly QI and Audit Prize
+ To manage weekly Grand Round sessions, ensuring future sessions are planned, catering and sponsorship is arranged, set up of the room and organise and record streaming on MS Teams, issuing of certificates.
+ To organise Senior study days, including sourcing venue, creating flyers and agendas, ensuring all technical equipment and presentations needed for the day is arranged

Candidates are responsible for covering the cost of their own DBS check if required: £18 for a Standard DBS check, recoverable from the first pay, or £38 for an Enhanced DBS check, divided and recoverable over the initial two pay periods. Payment for DBS checks for bank posts must be settled prior to commencement. Apprentices are exempt from DBS payment.
