Full Job Description
The Medical Education Coordinator will report to the Medical Workforce Manager and be professionally accountable to the Director of Medical Education. The role encompasses administrative and coordinating responsibility, supporting the Medical Education team in the delivery and evaluation of professional teaching activity, training programmes, The medical education coordinator also plays an active role in the development of the medical education programme. The post also involves line management of the Medical Education Administrator and supervision/undertaking of the administrative responsibilities associated with the quality assurance and financial management of educational
- Responsibility for the support of medical education services across the organisation; this includes the provision of a comprehensive service, responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of professional teaching activities, training programmes, continuing professional development, induction and skills training for junior doctors
- Line management and supervision of the Medical Education Administrator
- Organise and oversee the Medical Education Administrator in the setting up of meetings, training venues, workshops, road shows, lectures, seminars and events, booking rooms and refreshments, ensuring all resources required are available and appropriate information supplied including financial reimbursement. To include: Weekly journal Club Lunchtime Lectures Case Conferences Core Psychiatry Training Course Multi professional CPD Seminars Any other meetings that are deemed appropriate Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a health and social care organisation dedicated to providing high-quality care with compassion to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for, as well as supporting and empowering them to lead a fulfilling life. - Provide advice and assistance with the arrangements of travel and accommodation and the reimbursement of fees to external contributors
- Ensure effective communication with the wider Medical Education Team to enable delivery of the Medical Education programme.
- Provide support to Director of Medical Education and the Core Psychiatry Training Programme and module leads within the context of the range of Medical Education.
- Ensure all resources and information is available via the CPFT Academy intranet site and that the site is kept current and there is continual development to meet the needs of the service and its audience
- Ensure that comprehensive and up to date records are kept of all education attendance and that these are recorded on OLM.
- Ensure that all study leave funds are tracked and payment where required made and work in collaboration with the finance lead to ensure financial probity
- Responsibility for study leave administration of study budgets for junior doctors
- Ensure that Junior Doctor Induction is delivered to meet NHSE and CPFT requirements
- Undertake project work as required, researching, and producing information to support the project.
