Full Job Description

We are looking for a confident and outgoing Engagement Officer to join our fantastic Postgraduate Medical Education team dedicated to ensuring that our doctors and trainees receive the best quality educational experience.

This role will assist in supporting our increase of Junior Doctor trainees and transforming and managing LSCft's Medical Education web pages into an accessible and engaging platform.

You will be part of a small Medical Education team that works closely with Senior Educators and doctors across the Trust, achieving change through influencing skills and effective engagement. This is a hands-on role requiring energy, tenacity and emotional intelligence. A love of being creative and interacting on social media is essential., The post-holder will support the wider medical education team primarily with the ongoing management of the Medical Education web pages, intranet and emerging channels. Creating content that is accessible, engaging and user-driven, and conforms to LSCFT's visual identity.

As an ambassador for Medical Education, the post holder will be expected to proactively raise the profile of the function across the trust and in the wider region, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

The post-holder will lead on managing the content of Medical Education information on our LSCFT intranet/web pages, in addition to supporting the cascading of key information via social media platforms. Therefore you will need to have a basic knowledge of how to upload and edit content on a website / intranet as well as a passion to learn on the job. Ongoing support and training will be provided.

Have responsibility for promoting the key benefits of the Mentoring Programme, communicating and recruiting trained mentors to ensure the effective running of the programme.

This role requires both a disciplined and structured work style, with an ability to plan and deliver projects and activities end to end, but also the ability to multitask effectively, and to think & deliver quickly.

The role requires excellent engagement, communication and IT skills and a strong focus on customer service. With rapidly changing priorities this will require the ability to use your initiative, to manage your own workload and work under pressure.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
