Full Job Description

  • To ensure that all correspondence and preparation of clinic letters (EPIC generated) for consultants & the wider clinical team is accurate and produced within agreed time frames
  • As and when required to accurately type non-routine/urgent patient related information including medical reports, discharge summaries etc. within specific time frame
  • Arrange appointments, transport, patient hotel & interpreters as required
  • To be responsible for management of meetings for the service, including booking venues, preparing and distributing all papers, taking and distributing accurate minutes and carrying out actions as necessary
  • Upload correspondence, investigations etc. in the appropriate section of EPIC within 24 hrs of receipt
  • Ensure radiology reports, external imaging and other investigations are available as and when required
  • As and when required to gather further patient information from internal / external sources
  • To undertake other duties as requested and appropriate to the grade as delegated

    You will be joining a team of medical secretaries, witha busy but rewarding workload. The successful applicant must haveexcellent communication and time management skills, with experienceof working within a multidisciplinary team and knowledge of nationalRTT standards.
