This an exciting opportunity to join our e-Rostering Team within People & Culture based at East Surrey Hospital. This comes at an exciting time for the team as we are beginning the process of implementing Medics with e-Rostering. The new role of Medical Rostering Administrator will be a key partner in the success of the project. As part of our team, you would provide support to the Healthroster system and rostering practice, across East Surrey Hospital and our other sites at Crawley and Horsham. This particular role focuses on our medical rosters at SASH where we are rolling out an extensive change programme to extend Healthroster functionality to our doctors and improving workforce planning and deployment practices. This would be an interesting opportunity for someone who may have knowledge and experience of the Healthroster system, rota management and/or rostering best practice. The successful candidate should have the interpersonal skills to establish good working relationships with our service managers and senior medical staff. Ideally, they should also have a working knowledge of NHS medical terms and conditions (for example roster compliance with junior doctor contractual terms and conditions). However, training will be provided on all specific aspects. Here at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust our people are pivotal to all we do, we live our Trust values and make team working a reality for each of our colleagues every day., The primary responsibility of this post holder is to support the day-to-day operational requirements of the medical rostering system provided by RLDatix, as a system administrator and advanced user. You will provide efficient and customer-focused support to systems users responding to requests for assistance, as well as maintaining the system on a day-to-day basis.

  • The set up of junior doctor rotas onto Healthroster for each rotation, working closely with our Medical HR team
  • Advising services on the functionality of Medics on Duty, EOL, LOOP and Activity Manager
  • Supporting services to ensure Healthroster functionality is applied to improve rostering practices
  • Providing one-to-one and group training on Healthroster functionality to improve accuracy and rostering best practice
