Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Medical Secretary position within the Ear, Nose and Throat Department on a 12 month fixed contract.

You will be experienced and motivated and have an excellent range of PA and Secretarial skills; ideally including a solid knowledge of medical terminology - though this is not essential and accurate audio typing skills.

You must have a flexible approach to the needs of the service and demonstrate excellent typing, communication, organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner and a caring attitude. You should have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

If you are successful and invited to interview there will be a short typing test within your interview., You should be self-motivated with the ability to work in a busy and pressured environment. You should be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties.

You should also hold relevant secretarial or audio typing qualifications and have previous secretarial or PA experience.
