Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Department Secretarial Team at Sheffield Children's. You will work with Emergency Department Consultants, Reception, and the Acute Assessment Unit, providing administrative support for MDT meetings, major trauma cases, safeguarding, audits, and cross-cover for the department., Reporting into the Operational Support Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage workload in collaboration with Consultants and team to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Prioritise tasks and coordinate departmental activities to maintain smooth operations.
  • Help resolve challenges to improve workflow and service provision.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and follow relevant policies.
  • Communicate with parents and patients, providing clear, compassionate, and professional support, especially in distressing or challenging situations.
