We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Team as a Team Medical Secretary to support cross specialities within Child Health at North Tyneside General Hospital. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy administrative team to provide secretarial support to the Consultants and wider clinical teams., Responsible to Lead SecretaryAct up in absence of Lead Secretary for periods of annual leave/short-term sickness absenceProvide comprehensive secretarial service to the Consultants within Child Health Business Unit. Manage diaries, arrange courses, arrange/minute meetings, communication with GPs & patientsAdvanced typing & transcription of clinical & non-clinical documents (OCR 3 or equivalent qualification/experience)Support effective utilisation of OP clinic capacitySupport management of all patient journeys including target administration e.g. GP referrals, 18 week RTT, Cancer 2ww, Typed communication to GPsSupport Lead Secretary with induction/training of new staff, sharing knowledge with colleaguesResource management - ordering of supplies & equipment

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England.
