Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide secretarial support within the Children in Care Service within Children & Family Services based at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield., You will be responsible for the audio/copy typing of Pre-adoption medicals, general correspondence and Health Assessments and their distribution.

You will assist with registering referrals coming into the Service.

You will book Children in Care Initial Health Assessments and Pre-adoption Medicals over the phone/email with carers/social workers

You will maintain accurate clinical records and undertake any necessary filing, photocopying and other administrative duties to ensure the efficient running of the office

You will act as a contact point and liaise with patients, medical staff, social care and other agencies face to face and over the telephone, dealing with queries competently and professionally and taking action as appropriate in accordance with the Data Protection Guidelines
