Full Job Description

We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated Medical Secretary to play an important role, dedicated to ensuring excellent standards of care to the Department of Gynaecology at Salford Royal Hospital.
You will provide comprehensive administration support to the department and provide assistance to the Service Leads and Nursing / Clinical Teams and will work collaboratively with other administrative colleagues and support staff.
Your working hours will be Monday to Friday core office hours.
You will possess excellent communication skills, confidence and compassion are essential to the role., As a Medical Secretary your main duties will cover:
Medical audio transcription of clinical correspondence;
Carry out administrative instructions dictated in the correspondence including booking appointments via the Booking and Scheduling Department;
Update NPSA16 investigation tracker following transcription of correspondence;
Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff and external agencies;
Undertake routine office duties including printing, scanning and filing;
