Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Integrated Pathology Solutions LLP, an innovative joint-venture pathology service between Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This partnership delivers a high-quality pathology service through collaboration between three Trusts for the benefit of patient and service users.
The Pathology Department at Airedale is looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and innovative individual to join the Secretarial Team.
The successful candidate will be part of a team which are engaged to provide administrative support throughout the pathology department.

The role contains a particular emphasis in the typing of Histopathology Reports. The candidate should therefore have a good knowledge of medical terminology and be able to demonstrate good keyboard skills as well as attention to detail. Previous experience of working within medical secretarial environment would be advantageous.
The role also offers opportunities to assist with the collating of meeting minutes as well as being involved in the maintenance of personal records of staff members. The candidate therefore should be able to describe and demonstrate integrity relating to the material which they will be exposed to.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently whilst also engaging with team members to ensure workflow is maintained.
The candidate will be required to work with all members of the pathology team inclusive of The Managing Director , Consultant Pathologists and Medical Laboratory Assistants. They should therefore be able to demonstrate effective communication skills alongside practical and organisational skills.
