Full Job Description
We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and experienced medical secretary to provide a smooth, efficient and effective high quality secretarial and administrative support function to the Consultant Psychiatrist and other members of the medical team. To work collaboratively with administrative colleagues within the team to provide support to the wider clinical team within the Learning Disabilities Directorate., To work flexibly to provide an efficient, high quality secretarial, administrative and support service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and members of the medical team, including support to the wider clinical team as required.
To accurately carry out from audio/copy/shorthand the typing of service user related and general correspondence/reports using the appropriate software to agreed Health Board standards and within specified timescales.
To attend meetings and take minutes as required,and ensure that appropriate administrative follow-up action is taken as necessary. This may include a multi-disciplinary team and wider service meetings as necessary.
Works independently to defined policies and procedures and manages own workload.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
