Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a Medical Secretary who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
A part of this role will also be responsible for 1 part time consultant support in all aspects of their community paediatrics and SEN role and to provide support for the consultants and admin team where time permits.
You should have a sound knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy. They must be able to evidence and have the ability to work without direct supervision, be able to prioritise and manage workloads. The applicant must be computer literate.
You will be the first point of contact for GP's, consultant colleagues, nursing, admin and other hospital staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies. You will provide professional and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the consultants and medical team.
Please note that the post is based at Danestrete.
Unfortunately, there is no onsite staff parking.

Cross cover is also required for the team.
You will have sufficient knowledge of Word and Excel and have the ability to manage short turnaround deadlines and have good presentation as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
The medical Secretary will be the first point of contact and communication for HCT, General Practitioners, consultant colleagues, nursing staff, administrative and other hospital staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies.
