Full Job Description

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the The Adult Eating Disorder Service (SHED) . The service provides specialist , dietetic and other treatments and works with other services such as GP's and Community Mental Health Teams.

The role of the Medical Secretary / team administrator will be to support the team and the Consultant to deliver the service to patients across Cardiff and the Vale and in Cwm Taf Health Board.

The post holder will work closely with the Clinical lead for the service to ensure the service runs efficiently and effectively by having oversight of service waiting lists ensuring that targets are met take the lead on tasks including booking clinics and outpatient appointments.

The post holder will have the knowledge and experience to respond to the needs of the service and be able to help continue to develop the service. The post holder will be key in managing clinical activity including arranging appointments, managing waiting lists and electronic patient records, managing referrals, liaison with clinical teams, management of generic inboxes and general administrative duties such as typing, photocopying, filing and the organisation of post, The main duties of the job are to provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial support service to high risk eating disorders team.

Maintaining high standards and ensuring data quality, provide full admin support to the whole team in relation to general correspondence, confidential reports and assessments.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
