Full Job Description
We now have a vacancy for a Band 4 Medical Secretary to work within the Dermatology Team at Altrincham Health and Well-being Centre. The hours are 37.5 per week.
The purpose of this post is to provide a comprehensive secretarial service within the Division.
The post holder will provide a confident professional service to all patients and their carers, whilst supporting them throughout their pathway of care. It is vital that confidentiality be maintained at all times. The post holder must adhere to Trust Policies and Procedures at all times., The post holder will be responsible for the communication with our patients on our teledermatology pathway. This will include generating letters for patients on a TWW Pathway and overseeing that teledermatology reports are added to EPR (eletronic patient system).
Additional duties will include audio and live transcription, managing OP slot utilisation, waiting list management, 18 Week RTT and cancer pathway management and liaising with patients to manage patient pathways.
The Medical Secretary will be expected to work with the minimum of supervision.
They will also be able to demonstrate flexibility and use own initiative to carry out duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation, thus enabling the clinician and their team to utilise their time in an efficient and effective manner.
