Full Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a Medical Staffing Workforce Coordinator to deliver an efficient and effective recruitment and advisory service for Medical Staffing team supporting the wider organisation. We need a talented recruiter to attract the right candidates and ensure they are onboarded efficiently while maintaining our high standards of safety and care. The post holder will be responsible for day to day management of the Medical Recruitment team whilst providing expert advice to all stakeholders and customers. The role will also support colleagues with the professional administration support for the Consultant Recruitment process, providing expert advice and support during the Advisory Appointment Committee (AAC) for the Trust.Main duties of the job Our Medical Staffing Recruitment team are responsible for the recruitment of all medical staff who come into our Trust, the team work hard to give everyone an excellent experience when they apply to us for employment, and to fill our vacancies swiftly and safely, making a real difference to our front-line staff. To ensure all directorates in the Trust have the provision of expert advice from medical staffing advisors/recruitment assistants on all medical workforce issues relating to policies and procedures. To ensure timely completion of employee appointment, amendment and termination forms in order that the payroll department has the correct information pertaining to medical staff. Liaising with payroll department where required Work in conjunction with Consultants and Divisional teams to proactively plan the recruitment of Resident Doctors. Career Grades ensuring that the medical establishment is kept up to date. Produce timely relevant reports, information and statistics and contribute to the development of appropriate Key Performance Indicators relating to medical staffing Attending and participating in meetings as appropriate. These include (coordinating where appropriate) the LNC (Local Negotiating Committee), Medical Managers, Rota Working Group. Medical On Call Rotas Working Group, the Postgraduate Medical Education Committee, and any other meetings as appropriate
- Degree or equivalent experience or equivalent training and experience of administrative procedures
- Understanding of medical terminology Desirable criteria
- IT qualifications e.g. ECDL (obtained or working towards), Medical staffing and/or NHS recruitment experience
- Demonstrable level of administrative experience at a high level of competence acquired through both training and experience
- Able to communicate complex, sensitive or contentious information accurately and effectively with patients and at all levels of the organisation, verbally and in writing Desirable criteria
- Experience of recruiting senior members of staff i.e. Consultants
- Previous experience of providing complex specialist employment advice
- Experience of processing visa / liaising with UKVI, Excellent telephone and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload and work towards deadlines
