Full Job Description

Colchester Medial Practice has a fantastic opportunity for a medical summariser to join their team on a part-time basis, the hours will be discussed at interview depending on individual preference. The successful candidate may be required to work or assist and one of our other sites. The successful applicant will work in a team environment undertaking the summarising of patient records according to a set protocol which has been agreed by the practice. If you are an experienced medical summariser looking for a new and exciting challenge, then we would love to hear from you.,

  • Summarising new patient records to a high standard within an agreed time scale.
  • Using medical knowledge to correct mistakes found in existing patients records, possible restructure the medical records to the practices standards.
  • Maintaining a structure when recording new information and assisting GPs with queries relating to the medical records.
  • Any other duties which may be required within the nature of this role.

    Colchester Medical Practice is a well established PCN, delivering excellent care to over 40,000 patients across the city of Colchester. We have four sites (Shrub End Surgery, Castle Gardens Medical Practice, Wimpole Road Surgery and Parsons Heath Medical Practice) and a new health and wellbeing hub, based at our Parsons Heath site.
