have responsibility over student triage, dealing with illness, injury, maintaining accurate records, and administration support
provide appropriate first aid treatment as trained and administer medication when appropriate
have a flexible approach in order to support a range of duties therefore experience in medical assistance is advantageous however internal training will be given
be responsible for maintaining first aid equipment, stock and records
contribute to the development of the department as part of a dedicated team
have a professional attitude that is open to innovative ways of working and be committed to working in partnership with a range of staff
communicate with parents where appropriate
be flexible and adaptable when faced with challenges
liaise with and support the school nursing team with school-based vaccinations
