- To provide the secretarial support to clinics and meetings including creating and distributing lists.
- Ensuring investigation results are available as required.
- Use relevant IT systems and databases.
- Respond to telephone queries. The Cardiology team is a busy friendly team of Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, secretarial and administration staff. Our aim is to deliver the best possible care for our patients and to provide a friendly working environment.
We are looking for a highly organised medical support secretary, with previous experience in a similar setting to undertake this role within the Cardiology Service, based at the Royal Bolton Hospital. You will work alongside Senior Medical Secretaries and carry out clinical typing and co-ordination of patient's case notes/test results, amongst other office duties. Candidates should be articulate, capable of undertaking a demanding workload and able to demonstrate a significant level of initiative. Candidates should possess advanced keyboard skills including word processing skills to at least RSA II or equivalent level /experience, also English Language and Maths GCSE Grade C or above. Previous secretarial experience, knowledge of and audio typing is essential. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise workload and be able to work with little supervision.
