Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Medicine medical rota co-ordinator to our Acute, Gen Med and DME services at Bedfordshire Hospitals.

This post is based at Bedford Hospital.

The Medicine medical rota co-ordinator has responsibility such as below-

1. To produce and co-ordinate the medical staffing junior doctor rota, ensuring safe staffing levels are maintained.

2. Notifications of rota staffing are provided on a daily and weekly basis, including a forward six week look for junior doctors to ensure that there is agreed levels of cover.

3. To co-ordinate, log and monitor all types of leave for junior doctors.

4. To act as the first point of contact for issues relating to junior doctors and consultants, (e.g. sickness absence reporting, annual leave, study leave, shift swaps, locum cover).

5. To ensure there are sufficient number of junior doctors on any particular day, and the skill mix is correct., To be the first point of contact for the Medicine CSLs in relation to all medical workforce issues including
