Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician - Antimicrobials and Research

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated pharmacy technician who is passionate about antimicrobial stewardship and excited to explore research and innovation. This new and unique role combines service delivery with research and antimicrobial stewardship responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for a technician seeking to expand their expertise in infection control while gaining research experience. The successful candidate will balance responsibilities across ward-based work, dispensary shifts, and research activities, with the chance to contribute to the infection research portfolio and work alongside multidisciplinary teams., In this role, you will work closely with the antimicrobial stewardship and research teams, collaborating with senior pharmacy staff to ensure effective delivery of medicines management and infection management. You will play a key role in supporting ward-based activities, dispensary services, and driving the antimicrobial stewardship agenda. This includes conducting medicines reconciliation, supporting patients in safe medication use, and participating in the development of strategies to manage antibiotic use within the Trust.

The ideal candidate will support safe and effective medication use across the hospital and aid in advancing antimicrobial initiatives, all while contributing to valuable research insights that impact patient care and outcomes.
