Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician (Planning and Operations)

Supporting implementation of the ICB's medicines optimisation agenda including in general practices and care homes, including high quality, safe and cost-effective prescribing.To support the ICB medicines optimisation team enquiry answering service.To develop and maintain good working relations with all ICB and general practice staff.To support the development, implementation and evaluation of medicines related audits.

To help support medicines and pharmacy locally commissioned services and prepare monthly payment schedules (as applicable).Responsibility for the development of resources to support the provision of education and training to GP practice staff and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

To provide professional support to relevant committees by taking minutes, follow up on actions, sending out consultations, engaging with other committees (minutes / issues), maintaining database of decisions.

The purpose of this post is to support the Medicines Optimisation Team in delivering the ICB priorities in relation to medicines and the medicines optimisation strategy and workplan for our residents and patients. This role requires the individual to have experience of working with a wide range of healthcare professionals, exceptional organisational skills, and high aptitude of forward planning.
