Full Job Description

As our Meeting & Events Floor Manager you will ensure all Meeting & Event facilities are maintained to the standards required and our guests receive efficient, professional and friendly service at all times. Facilitate the smooth running of the operation on a daily basis and to brief all staff on what meetings, lunches and dinners are taking place.

What we are looking for:

  • Assists in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment.

  • Maintains attendance records for agency staff.

  • Maintains and enforces established sanitation standards.

  • Adheres to and reinforces all standards, IHG and Arora Hotel policies, and procedures.

  • Assists in ordering supplies for the department (e.g., china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props, and other service equipment needs).

  • Liaises with the Beverage Managers to ensure that all liquor and wine is recorded and posted correctly.

  • Understands the impact Banquet operations has on the overall success of an event and attempts at all times to maximize customer satisfaction

  • Participates in interactions with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.

  • Empowers casual employees and team leaders to provide excellent customer service.

  • Strives to improve service performance

    Experience in similar position within an M&E Operations

  • Experience in supervising high volume Food & Beverage

  • High personal grooming and hygiene standards

  • Works well under pressure

  • Good understanding of the English language
