Full Job Description

  • Grow your network of Co-op members, colleagues and community partners to form local forums, supported by a local digital network, to connect our member-owners to activity in their area
  • Develop a local community and member participation plan annually which will focus on delivering value to members in your area, and bring the plan to life through member engagement opportunities
  • Connect with local causes and community partners that are important to our members and demonstrate the benefits of our support
  • Encourage members to engage as owners through the democratic process, connecting with Members' Council representatives and assisting them to engage with members in their constituency .
  • Provide opportunities for members to learn more about their Co-op and our vision, promoting our campaigns and sustainability agenda
  • Drive a One Co-op approach locally, connecting with Food, Funeralcare and other businesses to develop joint initiatives, and build positive relationships with Independent Co-operative Societies
  • Report on activity and provide case studies to demonstrate the importance and impact of our work

    A good understanding of and belief in our Co-op values and difference
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and bring together a wide range of people in an inclusive way
  • The ability to work remotely as well as part of a team, managing your own time and activities effectively
  • Good basic IT skills within the Microsoft Office suite, and confidence in using social media
  • The ability to create and deliver engagement and activity plans
  • A valid UK drivers license with the flexibility to travel within the defined geographical area detailed above

    £31,005 [pro rata for part time] plus excellent benefits (Work level 6B)
  • Part time 18.75 hours per week available. Some evening and weekend work may be required. Field and home based in Wakefield & South Leeds. You'll need to live in or very close to this area to be eligible to apply.
