Full Job Description

The Member Engagement and Learning team provides support to Senedd Members and their staff across Wales through a programme of professional development. We are also responsible for oversight of internal communication and engagement with Members and their staff on services and initiatives in place to support them in fulfilling their roles.
The post holder will provide administrative support for the team, and will be a key point of contact for Senedd Members, their staff and colleagues across the Senedd Commission. They will need to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, Senedd Members and their staff and become a valuable source of advice to them, gathering intelligence on CPD and service needs/issues to be successful. This post is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, constantly evolving environment and to develop experience that will help shape future service delivery.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills; have a focus on customer service and getting the job done; will be organised, with effective and efficient administrative skills; and will adopt a positive and flexible approach to their work.

Professional Development
+ Processing and escalating training requests.
+ Supporting the planning and co-ordination of engagement events and training sessions.
+ Monitoring data for KPIs including attendance and evaluation scores, and maintaining records.
+ Managing the Learning Management System.
+ Processing the payment of invoices and expenses claims.
+ Drafting materials such as advertisements, agendas and internal communications notes.
+ Making administrative and logistical arrangements, including hospitality, room bookings, car parking and visitor passes.
+ Act as a key contact for SMSS across Wales, signposting or providing advice as appropriate and gathering feedback on services and/or training needs.
+ Act as a key contact and support for external training providers, particularly when onsite or joining training sessions online.
+ Supporting work on the development and maintenance of the intranet.
+ Researching and scheduling digital communication for training using a range of methods e.g. learning podcasts and learning videos.
+ Posting news items to the Members’ and staff news pages when required.

1. Experience of delivering high standards of customer service.
2. Excellent organisational, planning and time keeping skills
3. Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
4. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a range of people at all levels, (these may include senior management, Senedd Members etc.)
5. An excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
