We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our team Mental Health Team HMP Leicester a category B malePrison located in Leicestershire. HMP Leicester is a male prison with the capacity of 356, 80% of the prisoners are on remand. Hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, As a Mental Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work as part of and lead the Mental Health team within the Integrated Healthcare Services team.
- Provide clinical leadership and management to Registered nurses and allied health professionals.
- Establish inter-agency working where necessary to ensure good communication increases quality of care for patients.
- Ensuring that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
- Based on the Wellbeing Approach and Practice Plus mental Health policy, provide nursing triage and screening and assessment.
- Actively participate with the development of local operating procedures to ensure pathways are clear for clinicians
- Ensuring all complaints / concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Nurse lead treatment or care within mental health
- Confirm waiting list are well managed ensuring minimal waiting times for patients
- Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration. Registered Mental Health Nurse NMC Registered - Experience of providing supervision
- Teaching / Mentoring experience and /or qualification Experience

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £49,848 - £55,996 per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you?
