Full Job Description

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Trust are looking for Occupational Therapists to join Mental Health Services for Older People.

Our Community Services working within Specialist Mental Health Team in Hemel Hempstead

All of our OT posts are varied and no two days are the same - home assessments, MDTs, taking service users out, service development, meetings, training sessions. We would be happy to offer this position as a band 6 development opportunity or if you have the right skills and experience evidenced at interview, we would offer you a vacancy as a band 6 OT, As the Occupational therapist you would be required to:

Build a working relationship with clients to ensure treatment provided for every individual is unique and targeted to their unique needs. To enable you to assist them in being able to improve their function despite their underlying mental health condition. Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions for a specified service user group, carry a caseload as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and to develop the Occupational Therapy service provision within the setting.

Development opportunities - Receive training and support working from a band 6 Be part of MDTs that value and respect OTs. Our OTs are valued - there will be minimal generic work and you will be supervised by experienced Specialist/Head/Lead Occupational Therapists.

Be involved in CPD and reflective practice - these happen on a monthly basis.
