Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC Foundation team as a Mental Health Coordinator.In this role you will oversee the day-to-day coordination of multiple programmes including delivery of educational workshops, within a range of environments including primary, secondary and university settings as well as community mental health events. What will you be doing?
- Work closely with the Mental Health Manager to establish strong and lasting relationships with educational providers.
- Provide specialist mental health workshops to a range of participants.
- Coordinate and supervise the delivery of workshops by external specialist providers.
- Deliver low level physical activity sessions with groups.
- Create and coordinate events in partnership with community organisations, liaising with both internal and external partners. Assigning staffing roles and coordinating the delivery of the event with staff and volunteers.
- Deliver activity sessions.
- Deliver the project in line with the project plan ensuring all KPI's are met.
- Ensure quality and safeguarding standards are achieved and maintained.
- Work closely with partner charities.
- Build and maintain positive and clear communication with funders and partners.
- Support the development and evaluation of programs for the purpose of expansion and quality assurance.
- Support beneficiaries to learn and feel comfortable talking about mental health.
- Champion young people to have a voice and express themselves.
- Deliver the project as per the project budget.
- Ensure effective collection of all monitoring and evaluation data.
- Record data on LFC Foundation databases.
- Provide timely reports and analysis of performance.
- Ensure case studies and PR opportunities are regularly undertaken in line with Club, educational institute, and Foundation guidelines.
- Provide content for LFC Foundation social media.
To be successful in this role, you must have recent proven experience working with children and young people in a youth work or school setting, including experience delivering informal education workshops.You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues around mental health and wellbeing, including having a relevant qualification in youth work or mental health.You will have excellent personal organisational and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to showcase empathy and resilience. You will have experience of delivering music or arts-based workshops with children or young people, as well as experience delivering educational programmes in schools and previous experience working with partnerships. You'll also hold a First Aid at work qualification.
This is a Fixed-Term Contract opportunity for a period of 12 months, working 35 hours per week on a 5 from 7-day basis including evenings and weekends.Your main base will be Anfield Sports & Community Centre, however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside.
