We are a nurse lead team that requires you to displace your skills of being fully aware of the individual needs of patients including their presence on the MHEAC. This includes managing patients' needs in a holistic fashion, undertaking psychiatric assessments as well as ongoing monitoring of patients' physical health

Based on the outskirt rural areas of London, Harrow is surrounded by beautiful parks and greenery where our staff can take advantage of the more peaceful areas. With buses taking you right outside our office and parking available in the surrounding areas, travelling to work has never been easier!
The successful applicant will have contact with patients or service users. In addition to this we want to offer you;
+ Providing day-to-day care to patients to work closely with the Liaison team, the Bed hub and Home treatment team.
+ To be fully aware of the individual needs of patients including their presence on the MHEAC. This includes managing patients' needs in a holistic fashion, undertaking psychiatric assessments as well as ongoing monitoring of patients' physical health.
+ To utilise robust and ongoing risk assessment skills in order to minimise risks to patients under our care.
+ To facilitate the patients, journey through the MHEAC providing a therapeutic care pathway, a clean safe environment and a positive experience for our patients.
+ To supervise more junior staff working the MHEAC and to manage rostering duties for the MHEAC.
+ To act as a point of contact for patients who are in the MHEAC, advocating for them and communicating with professionals both from within Northwick Park Mental Health Unit and wider services as appropriate.
To work in a therapeutic, client-centred way and use a range of evidence-based interventions to help promote recovery through individual or joint working with other professionals., + As a Band 6 RMN within the Mental Health Emergency Centre (MHEAC) you will support and deliver excellent levels of care within the MHEAC in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and National Guidance. As a member of nursing staff, you will contribute in the delivery of high-quality evidence-based practice, ensuring that patients within the MHEAC environment experience a safe person cantered episode of care. You will receive development in managing the administrative and operational resources required for MHEC in a cost-effective manner and contribute to evaluating the standard of service delivered. To co-ordinate multidisciplinary working, maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all team members, and other services within the Trust, to ensure effective interface and continuity of care between disciplines and services.
+ The post holder will act in accordance with nursing procedures to a standard that ensures safe and effective care, and complies with The Nursing and Midwifery Council's Code of Professional Conduct. There is an expectation that the post holder will place the needs of service users at the centre of care delivery in accordance relevant Trust Policies.
Communication:
1. To be fully conversant with statutory and non-statutory services in the borough, and promote effective liaison, working relationships and operational links as appropriate.
2. To represent the MHEAC at Borough, Divisional, clinical and other meetings as required.
3. To ensure safe and effective delivery of care to service users utilising the knowledge and skills of staff.
Training:
1. To be available to receive clinical and managerial supervision.
2. To participate in academic meetings and teaching sessions.
3. To facilitate the learning environment for pre and post registration students.
