This is an exciting opportunity to join our Administration Team at Aspen Wood Low Secure Unit based on the Maghull Health Park.
The successful candidate will be required to work on site to support the clinical inpatient services.
Duties are primarily linked to the administration of the Mental Health Act and require very precise actions. The post holder will be responsible for the implementation and management of the Mental Health Act 1983 throughout the hospital and the work will span areas including the admission, continuing detention, First Tier Tribunal hearings, transfers and discharge of patients.
The successful candidate will have previous knowledge of the MHL Act and working in a similar role. Cover for colleges is a requirement of this role. This role requires the successful candidate to work on site to support the inpatient clinical services.
Part of the role for this successful applicant will be to support Care Programme Approach (CPA,) which will include scheduling meetings, sending invites, co-ordinating reports, typing and sending minutes. Post holder should have previous experience of taking live minutes.
Main duties of the job
Duties are primarily linked to the administration of the Mental Health Act and require very precise actions. The Mental Health Act Hospital Managers are directly responsible for the implementation, management and supervision of the Mental Health Act 1983 throughout the trust and theirresponsibilities in this respect are directly delegated to the Mental Health Law Administrators. These actions are guided by departmental procedures, hospital policy, NHS Guidelines and Statute (The Mental Health Act 1983 as amended in 2007; Criminal Procedure Insanity and Unfitness to Plead Act1991; Domestic Violence, Crime & Victims Act 2004; Mental Capacity Act 2005); Code of Practice.
Care Programme Approach (CPA,) which will include scheduling meetings, sending invites, co-ordinating reports, taking minutes and ensuring that all KPIs linked to CPAs are recorded and maintained for audit purposes.
