Main duties of the job If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of women navigating mental health challenges during childbirth then we are seeking a dedicated individual to partner with our Lead Specialist Midwife for Maternal Mental Health as a vital member of our dynamic Mental Health team. In this pivotal role, you will help foster a supportive environment for women during their maternity journey, ensuring that mental health considerations are seamlessly integrated throughout their care. Imagine being the bridge that connects community maternity services with diverse agencies, providing essential advice and fostering collaboration on mental health issues. Your mission? To assist the Specialist Midwife in advancing our Mental Health responsibilities and to empower care organization staff with the knowledge and tools they need. You'll have the opportunity to deliver impactful training, help signpost services, and guide fellow professionals under the mentorship of our Specialist Midwife for Mental Health. - UK NMC Registered Midwife
- Degree / Diploma in Midwifery
- Evidence of CPD Knowledge Essential
- Knowledge of key issues pertinent to maternal mental health
- Completed midwifery preceptorship
- Experience in dealing with emotive information Desirable Experience of working with vulnerable families Skills Essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
