Full Job Description
As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed
- Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback
- support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received
- promote safe patient care
- develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. Current NMC registration - Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
- Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
- Sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills including risk assessment Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment. The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns Monday to Friday- 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday- Flexible, This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £48,741 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
