Full Job Description
Working 37.5 hours a week, 4-5 days per week over a 7 day period, As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
- You will undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed.
- You will assess patient's health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge.
- You will ensure that you assess physical and mental health of prisoners on admission to the prison and throughout their period of custody so that any appropriate referral can be made.
- You will also be responsible for making a clinical judgement with regard to any immediate need and long term treatment. NMC Registered - Qualified Nurse
- Mental Health experience
