Full Job Description

We have an exciting role available for a Mental Health Practitioner within the ABC Primary Care Network in Maidstone. This role is part of the Additional Role Reimbursement Scheme, which aims to bridge the gap between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health services by delivering high quality Mental Health care in a Primary Care setting.

The role provides a wonderful opportunity for a registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to improve the experience for individuals with mental health needs, through offering early assessment and access to treatment and support to promote mental health and wellbeing in primary care, as well as getting involved in transformational work across the primary care network.

ABC Primary Care Network consists of a group of three GP practices located in the Maidstone area, including Blackthorn Medical Centre, the College Practice and Aylesford Medical Centre.

The role requires a practitioner with excellent assessments skills and who enjoys working autonomously, whilst demonstrating excellent communication skills to enable effective interdisciplinary working across a wide multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants will ideally have experience of working in a Primary Care and/or Community Mental Health Team setting and above all have the ambition and drive needed to work within an environment of change and innovation.

The successful applicant will have access to regular supervision with a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, Professional Supervision, Group Peer Supervision and day to day support from members of the multi-disciplinary team.

A valid driving licence and access to a car are essential to this role due to the service requirements of working across multiple sites.
