Full Job Description

As Mental Health Practitioner to provide healthcare to patients, promoting health and well-being within the prisoner population. This role will be responsible for assessment and caseload management of those referred into Mental health services within Gatwick IRC , working as part of a primary care integrated model. You will be supporting your team to carry out comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options and initiating supportive care plans, working with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team.     You will model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.You will either be a Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Social Worker/ Occupational Therapist or hold membership with BABCP/BACP/ UKCP.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner role at Gatwick IRC to join our team. The detention centre is run for the Home Office by Care and Custody, a division of the Serco with Practice Plus Group providing healthcare services to all residents since September 2021..
  • Our Mental health team normally work 9 am to 5 pm with rota'd weekend cover. This position is full time 37.5 hours a week and youll receive an annual salary up to £41,265 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you?
