Full Job Description

A leading Construction Company with a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable projects across various sectors, is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major, new Data Centre projects in Slough, UK.

As a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) elements of a large-scale data center project.

You will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and procurement, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.,

  • Prepare and manage detailed cost plans and estimates for MEP works

  • Monitor and control project expenditure, ensuring costs are kept within budget

  • Lead the procurement process for MEP packages, including tender preparation, evaluation, and negotiation

  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards

  • Administer contracts in accordance with the terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

  • Manage the contractual obligations of all parties involved, including client, contractor, and subcontractors

  • Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks associated with the MEP packages

  • Collaborate closely with the project team, including project managers, engineers, and design teams, to ensure seamless integration of MEP services

  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including cost reports, forecasts, and contractual correspondence

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction with project progress and outcomes

    Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in MEP services, ideally within data center or similar complex projects

  • In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, procurement processes, and contract administration

  • Proficient in relevant software tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Professional membership with RICS, SCSI, or a similar recognized body is an advantage

    Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, full, comprehensive benefits package available for this role with car allowance up to £7k per annum.
