Your new roleDFS Group is hiring a Merchandiser for the home category, responsible for ensuring timely stock delivery to meet sales and launch targets while maintaining cost efficiency. The role involves managing stock forecasts, optimising product ranges, and collaborating with buyers to drive performance across all channels. Key duties include data analysis for better buying decisions, planning sales activities, and coordinating with finance to set budgets. The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, and adaptable, with strong communication and strategic planning skills, ready to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.What you'll be doingAccountable for all aspects of stock management, ensuring stock delivered on time to achieve sales, launch targets and customer availability in a cost-effective way.Accountable for managing the home category critical path to ensure optimum delivery of stock.Accountable for delivering the category plan in line with the strategy (Sales, Total
Stock, Intake, Commitment, Customer Availability, Pricing, Markdown, Margin, Number of Skus for all Channels).Responsible for providing data to inform better buying decisions including regular reporting on key KPI's as part of commercial teams weekly reporting.Accountable for stocks and sales forecasting, challenging team to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities.Working in conjunction with the buyers to deliver a commercial and cohesive range in line with plan.Responsible for planning sale activity, ensuring this is managed in line with marketing strategy and meets profit targets.Work with the buyers to optimise performance, distribution and ranging across all channels.Responsible for working with the buying team and finance team to establish clear ways of working with roles and responsibilities clearly defined.Responsible for clear communication of stock related information and stakeholder management across the business.
