Full Job Description
We are recruiting for a Metrology Programmer to join our fantastic Quality Department in Woking. As the Metrology Programmer you will examine and measure components to ensure they meet the high-quality standards required by McLaren Automotive. What You'll Do
- Preparing car body structures for measurement.
- Measuring car body structures using GOM Scanbox 8160 to pre-written programs.
- Verifying dimensional accuracy of car body structures
- Notifying supervisor / team leader when the product fails to meet standards.
- Reporting measurement data to the relevant internal customers
- Filing measurement reports on relevant network location
Significant level of experience in metrology / inspection - Mechanical engineering background, preferably with experience in the Automotive or Aerospace industry
- Ability to read engineering drawings with good understanding of GD&T
- Experience in using Catia V5
- Experience in using and programming CMMs' with GOM Inspect software essential.
- Knowledge of Polyworks & PCDmis software would be advantageous.
- Experience in using portable measuring equipment - Faro and Romer.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite.
- City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or similar is advantageous.
