You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to Level 3 students, equipping them with the technical and creative skills required for a career in the games design and visual effects (VFX) industries. You will play a pivotal role in developing students' technical proficiency, creativity, and understanding of industry practices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Games Design and VFX for Level 3 students.
  • Teach software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, and other relevant tools.
  • Guide students through the entire game development and VFX process, including concept design, 3D modelling, animation, and post-production.
  • Develop engaging project briefs that reflect current industry trends.
  • Support learners in building a professional portfolio of work.
  • Provide constructive feedback and assessments to foster student growth and development.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of trends and technologies in games design and VFX.
  • Essential Requirements:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Games Design, VFX, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching or working within the games design or VFX industries.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong understanding of both 2D and 3D design principles.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to supporting and nurturing students' creative talents.
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Desirable:
  • Industry connections that can help enhance the student learning experience.
  • Knowledge of current trends in both the gaming and visual effects industries.
